Twitter è un fenomeno tutt’altro che in fase di assestamento. La crescita di messaggi giornalieri continua, così come la crescita di utenti internazionali. Da notare come gli utenti diventano mediamente più attivi dopo 9 mesi di frequentazione della piattaforma. Segno di come Twitter richieda un po’ di tempo per essere compreso fino in fondo.

Reuters racconta in una storia di oggi come Twitter sia sulla cresta dell’onda in Venezuela, con numeri importanti: 200.000 utenti attivi, crescita del 1000% nell’ultimo anno. Il segreto? L’uso della piattaforma come forma di dibattito politico pubblico, al quale non si è potuto sottrarre neanche il Presidente Hugo Chavez.

Twitter, il treno che ha lasciato la stazione
Twitter è così pericoloso da far bene a non usarlo? Questo è ciò che pensa un noto giornalista del New Yorker:
Twitter is crack for media addicts,” he writes. “It scares me, not because I’m morally superior to it, but because I don’t think I could handle it.
Gli risponde a tono un altro giornalista, questa volta del New York Times, con una risposta che faccio mia: Twitter è come l’avvento del treno, 150 anni fa.
I wonder if, 150 years ago, Mr. Packer would be riding the train at all, or if he would have stayed home, afraid to engage in an evolving society and demanding that the trains be stopped.
